Elizabeth A. Frier, 87 of 2525 East Washington Street, Suffolk, VA died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Sadie Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Frier and son, Melvin Allen.
She was a former member of First Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Herbert L. Frier (Blanch), Randolph Frier (Barbara) and Howard Frier (Catherine) all of Suffolk; one sister, Mary Frances Langston (Buddy) of Suffolk; good friend, Virgie Sandifer; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, February 20, 2012 in the Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Suffragan Bishop Madison Copeland. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A wake will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
